One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Dated "1864," Stamped "WHITE'S UTICA.," NY State origin, 1864, cylindrical jug with rounded spout, decorated with the slip-trailed Civil War date, "1864," underscored by a looping line. Brushed cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Includes metal "COLT'S" tag on handle. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a tiny in-the-firing chip beside date. H 11".
