One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "C.W. BRAUN / BUFFALO N.Y.," circa 1870, ovoid jug with tapered spout, featuring a slip-trailed design of a bird with cross-hatched tail, swag-decorated wing, and swag-and-spot-decorated body, perched on a scrolled stem Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Excellent condition with a salt drip to front and some minor in-the-firing flaws. H 12".
