One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Butterfly Decoration, Stamped "BENNINGTON," attributed to Julius Norton, Bennington, VT, circa 1840, highly-ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, brush-decorated with a butterfly motif. Small, shallow chips to spout. Some spalling/fry to cobalt. H 11 1/2".
