Unusual One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MASS.," circa 1858-1877, squat-shaped, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a parrot perched on a leafy stem. Unusual size and form. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with two small chips to underside at edge. H 8".
