Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churn, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO / WORCESTER, MASS.," circa 1858-1877, ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a large, brushed and slip-trailed design of leaves flanking a spiraling line motif. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Very nice condition with a 5" Y-shaped line on underside, a minor in-the-firing ping to reverse, and some light staining. H 16 3/8".
