Four-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MASS.," circa 1870, ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed floral spray accented with dotted trails. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A small filled and colored surface flake beside maker's mark. An in-the-firing ping at base on proper right side of churn, filled with plaster. A drip of staining to reverse. H 17 3/4".
