Scarce One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Dated "1859," Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MASS.," circa 1859, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with the slip-trailed date, "1859," underscored by a looping trail. Brushed cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Excellent condition with minor base wear and minor staining. H 11 1/2".
