Scarce Baltimore, MD Stoneware Advertising Harvest Jug, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, squat-shaped form with arched handle on top, impressed with the cobalt-highlighted advertising, "M & J DUFFY / 164 CATHEDRAL. ST / BALTIMORE." A 5/8" chipped section to reverse of spout. Two smooth in-the-firing contact marks. A few minor base nicks. H 7 1/4".
