Rare Small-Sized Baltimore, MD Ship Chandler's Stoneware Advertising Jug, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1880, squat-shaped jug with tooled spout, with the stamped cobalt-accented advertising, "FROM STRUVEN & WACKER / GROCERS & SHIP CHANDLERS / COR ALLICE(sic) ANN, & CHESTER' ST / BALTIMORE MD." Desirable size, form, and "SHIP CHANDLERS" advertising. Very nice condition with a 7/8" flake to underside at edge, a minor glazed-over base chip, and minor spout nick. H 6 3/4".
