Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1825, ovoid jar with footed base, semi-rounded rim, and arched tab handles, brush-decorated on the front and reverse with horizontal tulip motifs. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Very nice condition. An in-the-firing chip to proper left handle. A minor chip to underside at edge. A faint 4" horizontal surface line at base, emanating from an in-the-firing wrinkle in clay, not visible on interior. Light staining to reverse. H 14".
