Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1860, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled rim, brush-decorated with hanging fan-shaped floral motifs around the body, swag decoration to the spout and collar, and highlights to the handle terminals. Spout chips. A 1 1/4" rim chip on reverse. A horizontal crack in base of handle. Three large base chips. A 2 1/2" crack on underside, extending 8" up front. Two minor chips to base of collar. Minor surface wear. H 13 1/2".
