Fine Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Presentation Pitcher, Inscribed "H.W. Hofmann / 1897," attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, 1897, ovoid pitcher with tall, narrow collar and Bristol-slip-glazed exterior, featuring the incised inscription "H.W. Hofmann / 1897," flanked by incised tulip plant motifs. Coggled circle decoration to rim and base of collar. Cobalt highlights to inscription, incised decoration, and coggling. Excellent condition with a chip to interior of spout. H 9 3/4".
