Small Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar with Stamped Cross, B.F Landrum, Edgefield District, SC, mid 19th century, semi-ovoid jar with semi-squared rim, the surface covered in a mottled olive-colored alkaline glaze. Impressed "Landrum cross" motif at base. Traces of old paint to surface. One rim chip. A 1 1/4" in-the-making flake and two other small flakes to shoulder. A 1 1/8" in-the-making flake to base and a few minor base chips. H 8 1/8".
