Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "WM E. WARNER / WEST TROY.," NY State origin, circa 1855, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with an intricate slip-trailed design of a daisy-shaped blossom embellished with foliate devices on the interior and border. Spotted looping line motif below. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Minor staining to surface. Small spots of fry to cobalt. Bits of in-the-firing residue to reverse. A 1/2" line on underside, continuing 6 1/2" up side of jug. H 13 1/2".
