Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Howe & Clark, Athens, NY, circa 1805-1813, ovoid jar with footed base, heavily-tooled shoulder, and open loop handles, decorated with a boldly slip-trailed floral motif featuring different designs to the interiors of the blossoms. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Base chips. A minor U-shaped surface crack to rim. H 11".
