Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BURGER. / ROCHESTER," NY State origin, circa 1860, ovoid jug with tapered spout molding, decorated with a detailed slip-trailed design of a daisy plant. Slip-trailed "2." Cobalt accents to maker's mark. Excellent condition with two curved lines on underside, probably in-the-making, and some light staining. H 14 1/2".
