Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Abial Price, Middletown Point, NJ, circa 1840-1852, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, brush-decorated with a distinctive design of a flower emanating from a wreath-like group of leaves, underscored by scalloped lines. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Provenance: Ex-Robert Sim Collection. A 1 5/8" spout chip. Otherwise excellent condition. Two vertical hairlines at base, measuring 3 3/4" and 3". H 13 3/4".
