Three-Gallon Brooklyn, NY Stoneware Advertising Jug, Stamped "UNION POTTERY, / NEWARK, N.J./ J. ZIPF. Prop'r," circa 1880, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, featuring the slip-trailed cobalt advertising, "J.C. Ficken & Co. / 13 Union. St. / Brooklyn. N.Y." Slip-trailed "3." above. A 1 1/4" line to proper left side of spout, not visible on interior. A few very minor spout nicks. Areas of staining to surface. Some small spots of fry to cobalt. H 16 1/2".
