Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. DUNTZE / MANUFACTR. / N. HAVEN, Ct.," circa 1840, squat-shaped, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, brush-decorated with a stylized floral motif. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A shallow 7/8" base chip, two very minor base chips, and a small chip to underside at edge. In-the-firing flaws to surface including a few iron pings and contact marks. H 13 1/2".
