Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Inkwell with Impressed Decoration, probably New York State, circa 1825, cylindrical form with central hole surrounded by three smaller quill holes, the top highlighted in cobalt slip and decorated impressed asterisks. Provenance: Al Marzorini Collection; Crocker Farm, Inc., Jan. 30, 2010, lot #186; Ex-Kelly Young Collection; Crocker Farm, Inc., March 14, 2015, lot 204. Base chips. Hairlines on underside continuing onto wall of inkwell. H 1 1/8" ; Diameter 2 7/8".
