Small-Sized Stoneware Jug with Incised Floral Decoration, Stamped "C. CROLIUS / MANUFACTURER / MANHATTAN-WELLS / NEW-YORK.," early 19th century, ovoid jug with tooled spout and semi-rounded mouth, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted floral motif featuring splayed leaves flanking a bud with heart-like device below. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Desirable size. A large spout chip and minor spout chip. In-the-firing iron pings and areas of in-the-firing dryness to surface. H 9 1/2".
