Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Pittsburgh, PA Advertising, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising, "From / W.D. Cooper & Bro. / No 7 / Diamond / Pittsburgh." Freehand stripe decoration to shoulder and base. Unusual addition of a single freehand vine to shoulder. Some staining and light wear to surface. A shallow 7/8" flake to rim. H 9 1/2".
