Glazed Redware Bank, probably PA origin, 19th century, ovoid form with footed base, pointed finial, and carved horizontal coin slot, the lead-glazed surface decorated throughout with heavy manganese sponging over an olive ground. Underside incised with the initials, "VJ(?)." Provenance: Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates, November 2016, lot 76. Excellent condition with a few minor base chips. H 5 1/4".
