Quart-Sized Iron-Dipped Stoneware Jug, attributed to Chester Webster, Fayetteville, NC, circa 1825, ovoid jug with tooled spout, semi-rounded mouth, and iron-dipped surface covered in a faint salt glaze. Includes signed Quincy Scarborough certificate of authenticity indicating it was excavated from the waste pit of Edward Webster's kiln site during September of 2005. A restored rim chip. A small filled base chip. Residue to surface. H 10 1/4".
