Rare Quart-Sized Stoneware Advertising Jug, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, featuring the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising, "RANKIN & KANE / WHOLESALE & RETAIL GROCERS / COR GAY AND HIGH STREET / BALTIMORE." Excellent condition with a 3" thin in-the-firing contact mark to reverse and some old white paint flecks and other residue from use to surface. H 7 5/8".
