Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1850, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared spout, and ribbed lug handles, brush-decorated on the front and reverse with fan-shaped flower and swag motifs. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A shallow 1" chip to underside at edge. Minor chipping to base. Two small in-the-firing chips to interior of rim. H 13 3/4".
