Faux Bois Stoneware Presentation Tankard Pitcher with Cobalt Decoration, American, late 19th century, semi-ovoid pitcher with incised bark surface featuring applied clay pieces resembling sawed tree limbs, accented with impressed circles. Front decorated with the incised inscription, "A. Wick," underscored by a foliate motif. Exterior surface covered in Bristol slip and decorated with cobalt and Albany slip highlights. Albany-slip-glazed interior. Reverse with a 1" rim chip and small rim chip. H 8 3/8".
