Seven Ceramic Articles, American and English, 19th century, a brown-glazed, molded stoneware cat on mound base with relief eagle and impressed circular decoration, English origin; a brown-glazed redware bank with bird finial, English origin; a yellow earthenware cup with copper and manganese decoration under a clear lead glaze; a miniature redware pitcher of ornate form with spattered manganese decoration under a clear lead glaze, PA origin; and a miniature alkaline-glazed stoneware jug, Southern U.S. origin; a redware match safe with later painted surface, American; and a stoneware colander with brown-glazed handle, impressed "5," origin unknown. Cat with restoration to ears and unrestored shallow chipping around base. Bank in excellent condition. Cup with base chips and some brown paint on underside. Pitcher with restored handle and significant restoration to spout. Jug with a large restored spout chip and some unrestored nicks to handle. Match safe with base chips covered in old paint and some paint wear. Colander in excellent condition with some minor wear and a short, in-the-firing surface line to interior of rim. H (of cat) 4 1/2".
