Three Pieces of Stoneware with Cobalt Bird Decorations, Northeastern U.S. origin, fourth quarter 19th century, a two-gallon Bristol-slip-glazed crock, attributed to Fulper Pottery, Flemington, NJ; a five-gallon crock, stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / & CO. / FORT EDWARD NY;" and a two-gallon jug, stamped "NEW YORK / STONEWARE CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y." Unsigned Fulper crock with a crack on underside forming a long T at base, a thin 4 1/2" crack to far right side of crock's front, chips to interior of rim, small surface flakes to body of crock, heavy wear to one handle, and minor chips to opposite handle. Five-gallon crock with a wide top-to-bottom crack from rim on side, extending through handle, across underside, and a short distance up base on reverse. Crock additionally has a large chip and small chip to interior of rim, a thin 8 1/4" crack extending from shoulder to base on reverse, staining, and a few in-the-firing iron pings to surface. Jug missing handle with a cross-shaped crack on side emanating from a small surface chip, a Y-shaped line to underside, staining to surface, and an in-the-firing contact mark to right of decoration.
