Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, NJ origin, 19th century, both of ovoid form, one with stylized slip-trailed floral motif on one side, the reverse with impressed, cobalt-highlighted, and cobalt-bordered maker's mark, "J.M. PRUDEN / ELIZ-TOWN-NJ," mid 19th century; paired with a shorter jar with brushed drape-and-tassel motif, circa 1830. Pruden jar with a short, glazed-over line to base area, a minor in-the-firing nick below decoration, and some staining. Other jar with rim chips and a short, minor in-the-firing line to one handle. H (of shorter) 7".
