Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Stenciled "J.M. HARDEN & CO. / PALATINE. / W. VA.," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with applied lug handles and semi-rounded rim, featuring J.M. Harden maker's stenciling and various stenciled motifs including small Germanic tulips. Stenciled "4" at base. Very nice condition with some minor surface wear to exterior and exfoliation to interior base area. H 13".
