Three Graduated Stoneware Cake Crocks with Cobalt Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1880, measuring two gallons, one gallon, and approximately one-half gallon in capacity, each brush-decorated with foliate motifs on the front and reverse. Smallest crock with rim chips, short lines from rim, a filled chip to underside of one handle, a chip to opposite handle, short and minor lines to base, and minor base chips. One-gallon crock with a 3" area of restoration to base, partial restoration to one handle, and an unrestored 2 1/4" hairline from rim. Two-gallon crock with a restored top-to-bottom crack from rim on one side that forms a Y-shaped crack on underside along edge, a second restored top-to-bottom crack on reverse, a sealed 2 1/4" U-shaped crack on underside forming a 1 1/4" sealed line at base, and a small rim chip.
