Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar with Elizabeth, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1880, tapered jar with semi-rounded "wax sealer" rim, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising "DAVID BURNS & / CO. / DEALERS IN / STAPLE AND FANCY / GROCERIES. / ELIZABETH. W.VA." A 1" filled rim chip and 1/4" filled rim chip. A few very tiny nicks to inner wax sealer rim. H 7 7/8".
