Fine One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1855, squat-shaped, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled collar, brush-decorated around the midsection with a stem bearing leaves and fan-shaped flowers. Collar decorated with graduated swags flanking the spout and descending from the rim. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Very nice condition with a small spout chip, a minuscule rim nick, a small in-the-firing ping to foot, and two in-the-firing contact marks to base area on reverse. H 10".
