Three Pieces of Stoneware, American, 19th century, a one-gallon ovoid jar with brushed floral decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840; a three-gallon ovoid jar with cobalt highlights, stamped "I.M. MEAD & Co.," Portage County, OH origin, with original, heavily-tooled lid, both stamped "3," second quarter 19th century; and a four-gallon alkaline-glaze churn, incised "4," NC origin, late 19th century. Baltimore jar with reglued section to base/underside and a small rim chip. Mead jar with rim chips and cracks to underside and base, its original lid with heavy chipping. Churn with a 5" hairline from rim, a chip to one handle, wear to opposite handle, and expected wear to inner rim for lid. H (of churn) 15 1/2".
