Two Pieces of Maryland Advertising Stoneware, American, circa 1900, a miniature brown-and-white jug with bail handle, featuring advertising for "HECHT'S HOTEL / ISAAC HECHT, Proprietor, / Havre de Grace, Md.;" paired with a large Bristol-slip-glazed with bail handle, featuring the cobalt advertising, "MY MARYLAND / HIGH GRADE / CATSUP / VAN LILL PRESERVING CO / BALTIMORE MD" on the front and reverse. Smaller with flake to underside, in otherwise excellent condition. Larger with two small spout chips, a small chip to tab at shoulder, and surface staining. H (of smaller) 3 3/4"; H (of larger) 18".
