Four Pieces of Salt-Glazed Stoneware, PA origin, fourth quarter 19th century, a miniature ovoid jar, probably Thomas family, Huntingdon, PA; a one-and-a-half-gallon ovoid jar with rare maker's mark, stamped "W.H. THOMAS. AGT. / HUNTINGDON PA;" a one-gallon cylindrical jar, stamped "J. SWANK & CO. / JOHNSTOWN, PA;" and a molded cylindrical canning jar, attributed to the Swank Pottery, Johnstown, PA. Provenance: Estate of author and historian, Nancy Shedd, Petersburg, PA. Miniature jar with small rim chips and a faint line from rim. W.H. Thomas jar with large rim chip, in otherwise excellent condition. Swank jar with a few small chips to inner rim for lid. Molded jar with heavy chipping around rim and small base chips. H (of miniature jar) 2 7/8".
