Three Glazed Redware Flowerpots, MD origin, second half 19th century, two with crimped rims, tooled midsections, and slip-coated surfaces decorated with splashed manganese and covered in clear lead glazes, attributed to Anthony Bacher, Big Hunting Creek Pottery, Mechanicstown (now Thurmont), MD, circa 1880; together with a crimped-rim flowerpot with tooled shoulder and lead-and-manganese-glazed surface, probably Daniel P. Wetnight, Burkittsville, MD, 1866. Attribution of the last flowerpot based on torn note inside of flowerpot from 1979. Taller Mechanicstown flowerpot with chipping and losses to rim. Smaller Mechanicstown flowerpot with chips and wear to rim and a few glaze flakes to body. Wetnight flowerpot with chipping and heavy wear to rim, flaking to surface, scratches to interior, and a 4" diagonal crack from rim. H (of tallest) 6 3/4".
