Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "O.L. & A.K. BALLARD / BURLINGTON, VT," circa 1856-1867, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed flower with spiraled blossom and spotted leaves. Cobalt accents to maker's mark and capacity mark. Water glass staining to interior. Chips to inner rim for lid. Light water glass staining to exterior. Three small chips to one handle. H 10 3/4".
