Anna Pottery Early-Period Stoneware Pig Flask, Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick, Anna, IL, circa 1865, molded flask in the form of a reclining pig with spout at rear, anatomically-correct underside, and incised details to face and hooves, the surface covered in a reddish-brown Albany slip glaze and incised with the inscription, "Good Old Bourbon / in a hog's-." Traces of original black-and-white paint to eyes. A chip to one ear, minor in-the-firing clay residue to surface, and a minor in-the-firing iron ping to back. L 8".
