Two Pieces of Glazed Redware, American, first half 19th century, a cylindrical jar with lead-and-manganese glaze and elaborate combed incising, possibly Southern U.S., paired with a lead-and-manganese-glazed flowerpot with elaborately-tooled and coggled upper body. Jar in good condition with wear to rim and interior of rim, other light surface wear, and a smooth, possibly in-the-making base chip. Flowerpot with added hole in underside, a large flake to interior base, chips and wear to rim area and bottom edge, and minor traces of old paint. H (of jar) 9 3/4".
