Graduated Group of Three Stoneware Crocks with Cobalt Decoration, Ft. Edward, NY origin, second half 19th century, all of similar cylindrical form, a one-and-a-half-gallon crock with slip-trailed leaf motif, stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," a two-gallon crock with slip-trailed double-leaf motif, stamped "SATTERLEE & MORY / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," and a three-gallon crock with slip-trailed stylized floral motif, stamped "NEW YORK / STONEWARE CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y." Smallest with light staining, an in-the-firing chip to top of rim, a small chip to exterior of rim, and some wear to handles. Middle-sized crock with staining, fry to cobalt, and a large spider crack to front. Three-gallon crock with staining, heavy chipping to rim, minor chipping to one handle, an X-shaped hairline on underside that includes two lines extending partway up front of crock, and a 1 3/4" crack from rim on side of crock.
