Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Northeastern U.S. origin, first half 19th century, a one-gallon jug with cobalt-highlighted handle terminals and maker's mark, stamped "WOODBRIDGE, / BIDWELL / & CO.," Manchester, CT origin, circa 1810; paired with a one-gallon highly-ovoid jar with brushed floral motif, stamped "H. HUMISTON / SOUTH-AMBOY," NJ origin, circa 1830. Jug with in-the-firing spout chip, staining, and exfoliation to shoulder and handle. Jar with rim chip to reverse, a 1" hairline from rim on side of jar, nicks to inner rim for lid, and mottling to surface. H (of jug) 11 1/2".
