One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1860, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled collar, brush-decorated with two-stemmed flowering plant flanking a leaf. Swag decoration to collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Provenance: From a recently-surfaced PA collection, purchased by the consignor between 1963 and 1975. A 1 1/2" x 3/4" filled section to left of spout. A 5/8" filled surface chip or ping to side of collar. Staining and vertical salt runs. H 10 3/4".
