MARYLAND SNUFF CO. Lidded Stoneware Tobacco Jar, American, circa 1900, semi-ovoid form with concave shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and Bristol-slip-glazed surface, featuring the black-colored advertising, "MARYLAND SNUFF CO., / 2719 O'Donnell St., / BALTIMORE, MD." Includes original Bristol-slip-glazed lid. Jar in excellent conditon with wear to bottom edge of rim, a minor base chip, a very faint 1/4" surface line to exterior of rim (not visible on interior), and some residue to underside. Lid with minor wear to knob. H (excluding lid) 6 1/4".
