Rare Glazed Redware Flowerpot, Stamped "W.A. LYNN," Mechanicstown (now Thurmont), MD, circa 1880 flaring form with tooled body and crimped rim, the surface dipped in cream-colored slip, decorated with splashed manganese, and covered in a clear lead glaze. Impressed with rare "W.A. LYNN" mark at base. Significant glaze loss. A 4 1/2" loss to top row of crimping at rim. Additional chips and wear to rim. A few minor base chips. H 5 3/8".
