Slip-Decorated Redware Plate, Inscribed "Plumb Pudding," attributed to the Smith Pottery, Norwalk, CT, second quarter 19th century, with coggled edge, the lead-glazed interior decorated in yellow-slip script with the words, "Plumb Pudding," along with two spots and a small wavy line. Provenance: From a recently-surface CA collection. A 4 1/4" line from edge. Small rim chips. Some tiny flakes to interior. Diam. 12 3/8".
