Rare Miniature Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Inscribed "SAL," Northeastern U.S. origin, first quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base, tall collar, pronounced shoulder molding, and applied lug handles, featuring the incised and cobalt-highlighted initials or nickname, "SAL." Additional cobalt highlights to handle terminals and incised banding at shoulder. A large, sealed V-shaped crack from rim on front. A thin 1 7/8" crack from rim on reverse. A small base chip. H 3 1/2".
