Rare Molded Stoneware Canteen with McKinney, TX Advertising, attributed to the White's Pottery, Utica, NY or The Robinson Clay Products Company, Akron, OH, late 19th century, with flattened sides and wood-and-wire bail handle, decorated on one side with a relief tavern scene. Impressed four times with the advertising, "G.A. STIFF / 'SALOON' / MCKINNEY, TEX." Cobalt highlights throughout. Essentially as-made condition with a 1 1/4" in-the-firing chip to foot. H (to top of spout) 7 1/2".
