Two Pieces of Bell Pottery, Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1850-1880, a lead-and-manganese pan or bowl with tapered sides and squared rim, impressed on underside, "JOHN W. BELL / Waynesboro, Pa.," circa 1880-1895; paired with a cylindrical, salt-glazed jar with recessed rim for lid, stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," circa 1850-1880. Pan with a 2 3/4" hairline from rim, light rim wear, minor surface wear, and white residue from use coating interior. Jar in excellent condition with minor roughness to interior of rim and a short, in-the-firing surface line to recessed rim, not visible on exterior. Dimensions (of pan): 8 1/2" x 4" ; H (of jar) 7 3/4".
